I love this colour, this is my "throw on polish" I wear this quite a lot, two coats and your good to go. It makes me feel all spring like even though that seems to of disappeared just lately........its freezing!!! I actually put the heating on yesterday......roll on the summer!!!
As you can probably tell I like natural make up (a lot!) I amp it up for a night out but this is pretty much my everyday go to make up. I don't like my base to be to heavy it does nothing my 46 year old skin. Whilst I was shopping the other day I saw a beautiful young but she had that much make up on her face actually looked plastic, don't get me wrong it was beautifully applied but honestly her base must of been at least an inch thick! It was such a shame as she was SO pretty and didn't need all that make up at all.
My outfit for today's errands which include taking the poochie to the groomers which she is desperate for from where the vets have clipped her fur from all the scans she's had recently. Speaking of vets, for any of you who have asked me about her recently, I got the news yesterday that her blood levels have finally breached the normal range level that they should be.........finally!!!!! So hopefully no more hiccups and things get back to normal.
Then whist Liluu is having her pamper day at the spa I'm off for lunch with my Mother before she jets off to Australia again.
I love the velvet range of these so I thought I would give the Aqua laque a go. I think I probably love them more they have been my go to lippy everyday so far. I got them in the shades 3 Brun'croyable and 2 Rose on the rocks. I may just have to purchase the whole range.......slightly addicted!
Its that time of year again so I thought I would give this a try as its so quick.
Last but not least a couple of pairs of these for my holidays. I love Primark for cheap holiday shoes/sandals that you don't mind getting ruined on the beach. They didn't cost a lot at all I think they were both around £4 - £5 each, so cheap and super comfy!
I think I have a little obsession on Bourjois at the moment they just seem to have so many fantastic products out there at the moment and its fantastic in Boots as they are on two for £14, so I may be popping in for a few more of those lippies very soon........he......he.......
Although my blog is predominately beauty with touches of women's fashion thrown in occasionally, I was recently offered this opportunity. I was asked if I was interested in doing a collaboration with House of Fraser who are the title sponsor for the British Academy Television Awards, which is on this Sunday. So I thought why not, I like a change and a challenge, I think it does you good occasionally to mix things up and keep things fresh.
This is my youngest son and he has helped me style this as I wanted it to be young and mainly his style choices. Here is his red carpet look.
He chose this smart but casual gingham Tommy Hilfiger* shirt, which he paired with his own trouser, waistcoat and tie.
You can check out House of Fraser's other formal shirts here
I spent quite a while going through previous menswear red carpet looks and I must say I'm glad I'm not a man, the majority of the suits/tuxedos are very plain and traditional. I'm not a massive fan of dicky bow ties either.
Although Chris Pine does look rather dashing in his tux.
But I think personally I prefer it with a tie like this one from Zac Efron.
I also think colour works wonders, as worn here by the very handsome Chris Hemsworth. I love this even with a dicky bow!!
But I must say I am a bit of a sucker for waistcoat's!! To me they just complete an outfit whether it be a suit or something more casual and I think nobody does it better then David Gandy
I may be just slightly biased........but I still think my son looks the best........ :) even with the photo bomber
Will you be watching the British Academy Television Awards on Sunday? I will be and I will be keeping my fingers crossed for Sheridan Smith (Cilla) and also Benedict Cumberbatch.
You can keep up to date with all the happening, fashion and behind the scenes action in the run up to the awards and on the night on the House of Fraser's BAFTAs page here
