Off to the land of Oz

I'm leaving you all again.......sorry.

A family illness is taking me over to NSW, Australia for a while. My flight leaves tomorrow morning and I will be gone for a month. I've never been to Australia before and although I'm excited to be going it's such a shame it's not under better circumstances. I'm also very sad my Hubby can't come too but he's very tied up with work commitments at the moment, I'm going to miss him SO much!!! so I'm going with my Mum and my youngest son instead

I will try and post if I can but I cant promise anything as it will all depend on circumstances and Internet connection speeds. However I will try my hardest to tweet and put the odd instagram piccy up.

Speak to all very soon

FOTD.....very neutral

This is what I used

Ive wanted this foundation for ages and I finally got it at the airport on our recent trip to Mexico

I love the luminosity of this foundation and the eventual finish but it felt like it took quite a long time to actually sink into my skin. Ive never had this before as my skin is very dry, so usually it sucks in any foundation like a sponge. I doubt this would work for oilier skins. The overall result on my skin though was very natural and it does last quite some time.

I also used
Sleek Contour Kit shade light
Naked palette 3 still my favourite palette at the moment, sometimes I don't even bother with eyeshadow as my eyes get even more hooded year by year!
Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer great brightening concealer, so creamy
Rimmel Blusher  in Santa rose
Rimmel eyeliner in sable brown
Loreal Color Riche lipstick in shade Nude ballet

Collective random purchases

A collection of things I have bought recently

Firstly my new Spiralizer, Ive been toying with buying one of these for a while now and finally caved in last week. I bought it from Amazon in the end I didn't want to spend to much on it in case it wasn't as good as they say. But so far so good, Ive made squash spaghetti and sweet potato ribbons (which I roasted). Its pretty good actually well worth the money.

Next I bought this blender, I didn't want to spend close on £100 for the nutribullet, so I opted for this instead as it was way cheaper and also because of the multiple bottles (only two in the photo though, others were in the dishwasher). So now all the family can use it. I currently have approximately half of a banana tree in my kitchen as they all love bananas. I only paid £30.00 for it, I did a LOT of shopping around.

These boots from Dorothy Perkins, these are actually a replacement for a pair I originally bought but the zip broke on them and when I tried to change them they didn't have my size......bummer!!!..... I really liked them to, so these are a sort of make do pair. I still like them but not as much as the other ones

This dress was a pre New Year buy, I opted for a swing dress as A) I don't own one and B) to try and hide a bit of my Christmas food baby

I picked up this trio from Superdrug yesterday

I had to try this Colab dry shampoo, just love the scent!
Yet another mousse :) I have a bit of a love hate relationship with mousses, will let you know how I get on. I adore this dry oil it works wonders on my dry hair.

I got this as I wanted something I could  slap on on those days when you just haven't got time to spend applying eyeshadow, I opted for the shade Creamy beige

I picked this up as I've heard quite a few good things about I got it in the shade light, will try and review, try being the operative word. I've got so many things to review and just never seem to get round to word......hopeless!!!

I'm trying not to spend to much this month as we've just been out and bought new sofas and there are loads of things I need home wise so beauty/fashion spending will have to take a back burner for a while......... well maybe the odd thing will pop up ..........he.............he..........

Happy New Year to you all

Happy New Year to you all, a little late I know but better late than never

I was planning to post last week but we went away for new year and the wifi there was very sketchy! hence the lack of posts recently. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New year, we had a very quiet Christmas as my Children spent it with there partners families. It was my first Childless Christmas and it was very strange indeed....... I must say I didn't like it at all, thank god the Grand children came round for a bit to raise the decibel level a notch or two.....he.....he.....

New year we decided to spend new years day at Cheltenham races so we booked a table in the National hunt room which was very nice.

We didn't actually stay in Cheltenham though we opted for Ross on Wye instead in a lovely little cottage.

Such a lovely cottage, we will definitely be going back in the Summer for a walking holiday

Ive decided I'm not going to make any New Years resolutions this year I always end up not completing them but I am determined to eat a lot more healthier. I have ordered a new blender and also a vegetable spiralizer......cant wait to try them both out.

I hope you all had a wonderful break what ever you did
Did you make any resolutions this year?
