Easter weekend

I hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend

Me and my floral nails had a wonderful weekend

I have been a bad blogger this weekend I did not take a single picture!!!

Saturday we went to Chaddesley Corbett point to point
lets go racing
We had no winners and it was very windy but a great day was had by all.

Sunday we went to meet our friends in Bourton on the Water which is in the Cotswold's.
We have been many a time, you can see the last time  here

We stayed over night in a little pub called the Hollow Bottom in a village called Guiting Power.
The Hollow Bottom
Fantastic little pub if you want to take your dog with you they even let her in the restaurant part.
Obviously she got spoilt rotten by the staff who were all amazing and so friendly.

Monday we had a proper chill out day and did nothing which made a really nice change.

So that was about it for my weekend, back to normal now,
until May when we get another 2 more bank holidays :)

The very lovely Joe Browns

I was recently contacted by a very lovely lady from Joe Browns
to see if I would try an item free from there S/S 14 range.
Of course I said yes.

Joe Browns is a UK based distinctive clothing company with was founded in 1998 by Simon Brown. It started out predominately as a mail order business but can now be found also in Debenhams along with, and I remember many a time thumbing through one of their catalogues when my kids were little and even ordering a couple of items back then. If I'm honest I thought they had just disappeared of the face of the earth after not seeing there little catalogues for many a year. So it was a bit of a blast from the past when they contacted me and asked if I was interested.

Anyway on to the item I chose, this was a bit of a struggle, as many of you know I'm a bit of a floral freak and they have got some truly beautiful floral dresses.

These were the other contenders that I was stuck between

1. Enlighten Dress * £44.95
2. Secret Garden Dress £49.95
3. Sugar Loaf Mountain Dress £49.95

As it was all about my height as you know I'm only 5ft 4inches, I fell in love with the print on the Secret garden dress but was worried it would be too long on me. It was so hard to choose but the lovely Kirsty at Joe Browns was a great help in the deciding round.

In the end I opted for the very pretty lace Enlighten Dress * as I haven't anything like it in my wardrobe at the moment and I thought it could so easily be dressed up or down

I have done 3 looks with this dress

Look 1, dressed up

This would be perfect for a wedding or a day at the races. I love the colour of this dress its like a really pale mink/beige colour and the lace fabric is gorgeous. It would look even better with a tan instead of my washed out legs!! The only thing I'm not keen on is the lining, it need to be thicker material as its slightly see through. Its a shame about the lining as I feel this cheapens the appearance of the dress slightly. I teemed it with black accessories as I love the mink/beige and black combo, but you could literally put any colour what so ever with it just like a little black dress.

Look 2, In between version
This is my favorite, teemed with tights and boots, but you could quite easily put it with flats of or a leather jacket.

Look 3, Casual

This would also be a great dress to take on holiday for day trips out or dressed up on the evening.

Its such a versatile dress, I'm so glad I picked it I think this will definitely be getting a lot days out from my wardrobe in all seasons. I will certainly be keeping an eye on Joe Browns collections from now on.

Last weekend Dorothy Perkins had a 30% off offer on so I thought hey ho I've been a good girl lately and it was my birthday I thought I would grab a few things while the offer was on. They also kindly gave me an extra 15% off for my birthday and I got free delivery too......bargain!!!

Firstly I got these 3 dresses

  1. Paisley print dress £12.60 just love paisley print, should of been £18.00
  2. Plain black dress £11.20, should of been £16.00. Finally got a little black dress!!! my favorite colour and I never even had a black dress.
  3. Black patterned swing dress £14.00, should of been £20.00 but at the moment is reduced to £12.00, oh well you cant win them all!!

I got yet more Jeggings

Should of been £20.00

I also got this

Should be £22.00

But I'm unsure whether to keep it yet, don't know if its me?
Every now and then I try something out of my comfort zone, it doesn't always work though!!
Also because I'm only 5ft 4" its a lot longer on me than the model
What would you do?
I'm still ummming and ahhhhing

That was about it for Dotty P's

I also picked up a couple of things this weekend whilst I was out

From Matalan (as they had 20% off aswell)

Then no shopping trip would be complete without popping into Primark

Cardigan £6.00
It looks a lot more red on camera than it actually is

And finally (I hear your sighs of relief....he....he.....)

Yep you guessed it
 yet another scarf :)

So all in all I didn't actually spend that much which is exactly the way I like it :)

Sorry there haven't been many OOTD lately been a little busy finishing off a few things at home. I have finally got round to putting up some of my photos up in my hall (its taken me way too long!!!)

Here is what it looks like so far still got loads more to add

I wanted all the photos in black and white as I just love them, they look so timeless.

I added a few buttons here and there for a bit of variety. I also made the S out of assorted buttons just to try break up all the squareness.

I also made this out of salt dough to decorate my mirror

After this I finished of a couple of other jobs that have been waiting to be finished

And finally got the Hubby to put my necklace holder up (I'm hopeless with a drill!!)

I'm so glad all these bits have been tied up now they were driving me potty!!! I can now properly get stuck into my Wedding flower business project. I've done some work already on it but I've still got a long way to go yet.
I'm almost decided on a name, Its between
Fabulousso Flowers by Gail or Fabulousso Wedding Flowers by Gail, what do you think?????? I would love your input again guys.......

Oh and by the way a BIG thank you to everyone who follows me on Bloglovin I hit the 100 followers milestone yesterday, it took me a year to get to 50 followers but only 2 months for the next 50 it happened so fast, how weird is that!!!!!! Great though :) thank you all again xxxx
