Happy Christmas everyone

This year has gone so fast!!! The older I get the faster the years fly!!!
Were having a quiet one this year. It's going to be a very strange one for me this year as it's the first Christmas waking up with none of my children in the house. It's going to feel very weird the house feeling so empty, they are all spending it with their other half's families this year. It will be a massive difference from last year when I had 13 in the house. At least I will have my Granddaughters to fill the house in the afternoon :)

So to all my wonderful readers thank you SO much for all your support and lovely comments over the past year. I REALY do appreciate it.

Hears wishing you all a very Happy Christmas

Pre Christmas treats

I got this for the airport it has been on my wants list for quite sometime now

I opted for this instead of the Marc Jacobs Daisy. This has also been on my wants list for quite sometime

These are from Boots I just adore the scents of all of these, plus they are all currently half price £2.49

That is all I have purchased recently due to the fact its Christmas and also I haven't hardly even stepped out of the house apart from to pick my prescription up from Boots. The perfume and foundation were duty free purchases. Normal shopping routines will return very promptly..............can't wait I'm having such withdrawal symptoms........he.........he........

I do love Mexico

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, as many of you will of read from my previous post I have come back from Holiday and developed Labyrinthitis :( So as it doesn't seem to have much signs of going anytime soon this is going to be a picture heavy post. Saying that it has still taken me best part of a week to do it as I can only look at the computer screen for short amounts of time as it makes me feel SO sick!!!

So here goes......... photos from my trip to Mexico

Evening view from our balcony

Lovely jungle and lots of mangrove trees

 One of the bar areas

Some of the natives
Its a shame we didn't get to see the baby turtles that hatched from the shells above

We loved the beach as the snorkeling was fantastic, so much to see!! we even saw an octopus which made my day

An absolutely amazing night at Coco Bongos!!!
If you go to Mexico its a must!!!

Looking back on the photos it seems like ages since we went. I totally loved Mexico and the resort, we stayed at the Grand Sirenis resort & spa in Riviera Maya. Wonderful place and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back without a second thought, were thinking of taking the whole family next time :)

Sorry that's about it for now hopefully normal service will resume very soon. I've got a LOT of catching up to do to catch up on reading all your lovely blogs as I haven't been able to do that either.

Roll on normalness :)

Back from Mexico

I'm back!!!!!!!

I returned from my Holiday last week

This was my lunchtime view

but I haven't been very well as I have developed Labyrinthitis......not very nice at all!! :(
I still have it but not as bad as it was last week so this wont be a very long post, as it difficult focusing on the screen.

I just wanted to pop on to let you all know I'm still here lurking in the background.

Hopefully come next week I can start regular posts again (they might be short ones though)
I'm hoping to at least do a holiday post at some point, we had the most amazing time :)

Pre Mexico beauty haul

A last minute beauty haul before I go away on Monday
Finally its time for our holiday to sunny's felt like such a along time ago we booked it
But its finally here and we are off on Monday so no posts for a couple of weeks.....sorry
There may be a few snippets on Twitter or Instagram but not many as I'm planning a total chill out :)

So...... back to the haul, these are a few things I've picked up over the past two weeks

I was so in love with my last lipstick from this range I decided to go for another shade.
I got shade Brun Boheme, I fond this lipstick so moisturising

I know I said no more nail polishes but these were very cheap!! .......he ......he.....
Barry M Countess £3.99 I got this in my local Tesco for £1.99
Barry M Mustard £3.99  I've wanted this since spotting it on an a fellow blogger nails a while back
Collection Scorched Copper £1.99 and this was also reduced to 89p....can;t pass up a bargain :)

What can I say? I just cant resist palettes!!! I'm a sucker for them......another to add to my collection

Eylure Individual Lashes £3.56
Im not usually an false eyelash type of girl, mainly because I cant put them on properly!! but as these were so cheap I thought I would give them a go, Im hoping they are more subtle than full on falsies. Ive got a party on Saturday so Im going to try these out....."try" being the operative word!"

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation £10.99
I used to love Healthy mix foundations so I thought Id give the gel formula a try. I got shade Beige Clair

This was my free product on 3 for 2 in Boots. I'm not usually a BB/CC kinda person but I got this in a slightly darker shade for  my holiday as hopefully it wont be too heavy on my skin. I got shade Rose Beige

Last but not least this Kohl liner, I've used this a couple times already and although its great at doing what it says on the tin I don't think its going to last very long. It's already gone down quite a bit so I reckon I will only get a few more wears out of it before its dead. Quite disappointing really for the price!
I've tried twisting the bottom to see if any more pops up and it doesn't (unless I'm doing something wrong?) Have you tried this eyeliner?

My current skincare

I just changed up my skincare routine for the winter months
Here is my morning routine so far

  1.  Firstly I cleanse with Liz Earles Hot cloth cleanser I've recently started using this, I know I'm probably the last person on the bandwagon with this one...... but that's me ....he.....he.... I'm not a 100% keen on the initial scent it very much reminds me of vics vapor rub! but fortunately that soon goes. It leaves my skin feel SO supper soft. I'm officially in love with this I can see why its one of their best sellers.
  2. Next I spray my face with this Botanics rose water toner, which I am currently looking to replace. I preferably want something with out alcohol in it so if any of you have any suggestions they would be gratefully appreciated
  3. Then my Eucerin anti wrinkle eye cream, I like this as it doesn't irritate my eyes at all
  4. Last but not least my Eucerin volume day cream that contains SPF15, I do like the Eucerin range its especially good on my very sensitive skin.

  1.  First thing I use is my Garnier micellar make up remover, I love how it just melts off my eye make up instantly! It doesn't irritate at all
  2. Next up is cleanser, as step 1 above
  3. After cleansing is another recent addition, Nip + fab exfoliating pads, I just tend to use these just in my night time routine
  4. Next is my eye cream, I leave this for a few mins to soak in
  5. Now this is where I have a temporary gap in my routine. I am also on the hunt for a really good night serum. At the moment I'm tempted by the Liz Earle serum. I think I might get a miniature size and try it first, I love miniatures as my skins so sensitive I can try products before buying them which is fantastic and saves me so much money!! The amount of products I've given away because they don't get on with my skin!!
  6. Lastly my night cream which at the moment is Eucerin anti wrinkle night cream

Last but not least are other items I use but not on a daily basis

Occasionally at night I use my Fushi Coconut oil all over my face and neck this gives my skin a massive moisture hit every now and again, it just works its magic whilst I'm sleeping. Its also great when I have little eczema break outs, it helps no end. One of the best multi purpose products ever!!

Lush let the good times roll, which is my favorite, smells divine!!! and Time delay from Boots which is more of a gentler exfoliator.

Lush oatifix, I do like the fresh face masks from Lush! I recently bought this Super facialist mask, I'm a sucker for anything that says "hydrate" on the packaging as my skin can get as dry as a desert sometime!!! I'm still a little on fence with this one though because although it says "suitable for even the most sensitive skin" it does actually sting slightly when I first apply it. I think it may be the "rose" in it which is quite pungent!! I'm not a massive rose scent person really that and lavender too, I'm not keen at all.

That's about it so far for my current skincare. I don't spend an absolute fortune as I find a lot of the higher end products react with my skin especially quite a few of Estee Lauders range. This is why I tend to use a lot of Eucerin products because I no it's safe for me to use.

So.......... if you have any recommendations regarding the toner and the serum please let me know, I would love some suggestions
